The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks, with a focus on DIY projects, air conditioning (AC) systems, plumbing and electrical work. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- ✓ Install, repair and maintain AC systems, including troubleshooting issues, replacing parts and performing routine maintenance.
- ✓ Perform basic handyman works.
- ✓ Conduct electrical repairs and installations, such as wiring, outlets, switches and light fixtures, while ensuring compliance with electrical codes.
- ✓ Collaborate with team members to plan and execute maintenance projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality work.
- ✓ Inspect and diagnose issues with DIY, AC and electrical systems and develop effective solutions.
- ✓ Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs and inventory of supplies and equipment.
- ✓ Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- ✓ Stay updated on industry trends, new techniques and advancements in AC, plumbing and electrical maintenance.
- ✓ Provide exceptional customer service and respond promptly to maintenance requests from clients.
- ✓ Maintain and organize tools, equipment and supplies necessary for maintenance tasks.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Proven experience in maintenance, with a focus on AC systems, electrical and plumbing. Experience with Inverter units is an advantage.
3. Strong knowledge and skills in carpentry, painting, plumbing, AC systems and electrical wiring.
4. Familiarity with hand and power tools used in maintenance and repair work.
5. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints and schematics.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
7. Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks.
8. Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and clients.
9. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment and perform manual labour.
10. Valid UAE driver’s license.
